Halls Estate Agents was first established in Ottery St Mary in 1997 by Nick Hall and Dean Milton, both of whom still work for the company.
Nick started in estate agency in 1977 and in 1997 Nick, together with his wife and Dean Milton started Halls Estate Agents in Ottery St Mary. Together Nick and Dean successfully build the company to be one of the largest firms in the area.
Dean began his career in 1986 with a local independent estate agency in Exeter before joining Nick Hall to start Halls Estate Agent.
Nick and Dean later joined forces with Paul Scott and openen up additional offices in West Hill, Topsham & Sidmouth. In 2003 the lettings department was established and in 2006 Halls acquired Huxtables Estate Agency who had for many years specialised in Block Property Management and Rentals. In 2018 the New Homes Department was also added to the company’s repertoire.
Additionally Halls rebranded and expanded to Hall & Scott Estate Agents as we know it today.
Hall & Scott in its 25 years has seen year-on-year growth and is proud to be in the local community and work for the local community. The ongoing needs around us were only highlighted during the Covid-19 lockdowns with Hall & Scott providing practical support and a listening ear to individuals and families in the local area. “We Are Here For You” was not only a slogan but it was an ethos as Hall & Scott Estate Agents looked to cement itself as a positive influence in our communities.
Having previously supported a number of charities and charitable causes, Hall & Scott is proud to support Devon Freewheelers (Charity No. 1180264) as their 2022 chosen charity of the year.
Nick Hall says “we are delighted to be supporting Devon Freewheelers as our chosen charity of the year and look forward to celebrating 25 years of Hall & Scott in the local community by raising much needed for this wonderful, deserving charity. We have a number of exciting, family-friendly fundraising events planned and are looking forward to being able to share details of these. With it being a Jubilee Year, Covid-19 mostly behind us and with the property market as healthy as it is, we are excited for all that our 25th year looks to bring.”
